Like my friend Tiffany, who started the business she was scared to launch after just one session with me. I provide a safe space for you to speak your truth without judgment while I ask the right questions for you to go deep within yourself and find the answers. I don't tell you what to do, I just permit you to trust yourself.

My Story

I retired from the State of Ohio after 31 years of service.  Although I enjoyed my job, it was not fulfilling to me. There was always a feeling that there was something else I should be doing with my life.  Throughout my 31 year career with the state, I researched different topics to see what interested me.  Once I started getting closer to retirement, I really started to think about what I wanted to do with myself when I "grew up".

I was reading a book at the time called Oh Shift by Jennifer Powers. It had a facilitating component with it and I started researching what I needed to do to become an Oh Shift facilitator. While doing this research I also learned that Jennifer Powers was a life coach and taught life coaching at the Coach Training Alliance. When I researched more about what a life coach was I became very interested in that field. After all, I felt that I was already being a life coach. I was the person my friends and co-workers (even strangers) came to for advice or, sometimes, just for an ear to listen. They trusted me and felt comfortable telling me their story.

I became a certified life coach through The Coach Training Alliance. One thing coaches must use during their coaching sessions is intuition. I wanted to find ways to build and trust my intuition so I delved into finding out how I can become more intuitive. That brought me to Tarot and Oracle cards. I fell in Love! I am currently enrolled in the Biddy Tarot Certified Advisor Program.

During this time, I was also pulled to energy work, which is where I found Reiki. The healing powers of Reiki called to me. I wanted to learn more, so I became a certified Reiki Level 1 and Level 2 practitioner through Om2Ohm Meditation and Wellness Center in Powell, Ohio, as well as The Reiki Academy in London (online). My daughter used to ask me to do Reiki on her at night before bed to help her fall asleep.

I created The Energy Alcove to be a safe, welcome space for you to tell your story without judgment. I am here to help you co-create the life you were meant to live, rather than letting life just pass you by. Combining Tarot and Life coaching to help you clarify what you actually want out of life, and using Reiki energy to help support you.
